Terms of Use

These terms cover the Maths Retriever iPad and iPhone app and this website, both operated by Hongzhi Wu (“we”, “us”). By using the app or the site you agree to them.

The app licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement and apply to the service behind the app.

Subscriptions

• Maths Retriever Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or yearly. Both unlock the same features.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Apple shows the exact price for your country before you pay.
• The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it any time in your App Store subscription settings; you keep access until the period you paid for ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

What the app is — and is not

• Maths Retriever is a study tool. Marking, hints, solutions and generated questions are produced with the help of AI models and, like any marker, can occasionally be wrong. Where an answer could not be independently verified, the app says so rather than guessing.
• The predicted grade is a rough guide built from your marked work. It is not an official IB prediction, and no result in the app is a promise about your exam performance.
• Maths Retriever is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Fair use

You agree not to abuse the service — including attempting to circumvent usage limits or subscription checks, sending automated requests, probing or disrupting the service, or using it for anything other than personal study. We may suspend service access that we reasonably believe is abusive.

This website

The site’s content is provided as general information about the app, without warranties of any kind. Screenshots show the app at a point in time; features may change between versions.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Meaningful changes will be reflected on this page with a new date at the top.
